Provided by AGPSLOVENIA, May 20 - The project involves a comprehensive renovation of the city market located in the centre of Novo mesto. Works will include the demolition of the existing market building and the construction of a new facility, together with the redevelopment of the surrounding public spaces. The project also encompasses the reconstruction of the building at Glavni trg 25, as well as traffic and utility infrastructure improvements at Florjanov trg square and along Muzejska, Sokolsko and Florjanova streets.
The project aims to revitalise a socially degraded area in the city centre and improve the quality of public space. The project will contribute to better local food supply, the development of cultural and tourism activities, and the creation of an attractive space for residents and visitors to gather. A total of 3,098 square meters of underutilised space will be renovated.
The total value of the project amounts to €4,838,607.96, of which €3,485,000 will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The beneficiary of the project is the Urban Municipality of Novo mesto.
